This item adds two (2) FireWire 400 ports to the MacBook Pro via the ExpressCard/34 slot.  Since there are no FW400 ports for the MacBook Pro Unibody models, we especially recommend this item for our users with those notebook computers.  Includes AC jack (for bus-powered devices) on the side of the card.
