This kit includes the following
parts:
Large heatsink
Two small heatsinks
Clamp and screw
Thick thermal sheet. Plastic film should be removed before
use.
Thin thermal tape. Plastic film should
be removed before use.
Two rubber bushings. The older version
of the kit does not include bushings.
Cut the thermal sheet in pieces that match
size of the chips, and place the pieces on top of the three
chips on the VRM.
Place the larger heatsink on top of the three chips as
shown.
Position the clamp over the top of the VRM from the right
side. |
Place the rubber bushings in the positions shown in the
photo. The older version of this kit does not provide bushings.
While the bushings assure a better fit, the lack of bushings
is not a problem. |
To position the heatsink correctly, tighten the screw
as shown.
Cut the thermal tape to match the size of the small heatsinks,
and place the pieces of tape on top of the large heatsink.
Place the small heatsinks on top of the large heatsink.
Insert the VRM connector into the connector on the logic
board. The rubber bushings come off easily, so please be careful. |
If you use Radeon 7500 or nVIDIA Geforce 2 64MB video
cards, which are physically wider than the original video
board, you should adjust the amount of force that is applied
to the screw.
