Installation
of Spirca Extended Heatsink for Geforce 2 MX
|
Have you ever seen an
Apple BTO genuine nVIDIA Geforce 2 MX for the Cube? This
is it. The heatsink is much larger than the one for the Tower.
For safe and stable operation, you need a larger heatsink for the Cube, even
when using the original CPU.
This extended heatsink supports nVIDIA
Geforce 2 MX, both
32MB and 64MB. They both have ADC and VGA connectors.
If
the card does not have both connectors, it is
a PC flashed card. |
 |
Place the Thermal Sheet, included in this kit, on
top of the original heatsink.
If you purchased an "Extended heatsink
with Fan",
put vinyl tape on the small chips between the video memory
chips as shown on the photo. Vinyl tape is not included in
this kit.
|
 |
Now place the extended heatsink on the
original heatsink. The extended heatsink has a mortise that
fits the original heatsink, so it is easy to place.
Place 2 screws to affix the heatsink, using
the rubber bushings
and nuts. Don't
tighten them too much. It may
bend the
card.
If you don't have an the optinal fan, you're
done.
|
|
Put the themal sheets on the video memory
chips and place the fan on the video memory. You can connect
the fan connecter to J2 connector located beside the memory
slot.
